Which motorbikes can you drive after your training?
 

Requirements Class A

  • Direct entry from the age of 24 possible without previous possession of another motorbike class
  • Minimum age 20 years with previous owner of class A2 for at least 2 years
  • Domestic and international driving possible
  • Motorbikes without engine capacity or performance restrictions

Requirements Class A with key number 80

  • Minimum age 21 years
  • Driving in Germany and abroad possible
  • Up to 24 years of age Motorcycles with power restriction to max. 35 kW (48 hp) and power to weight ratio max. 0.2 kW/kg, which are not derived from a motorbike with an engine power of more than 70 kW
  • From 24 years of age Motorcycles without engine capacity or power restrictions

Requirements Class A2

  • Minimum age 18
  • Domestic and international driving possible
  • Motorbikes with power limitation to max. 35 kW (48 hp) and power to weight ratio max. 0.2 kW/kg, which are not derived from a motorbike with an engine power of more than 70 kW

Requirements Class A1

  • Minimum age 16 years
  • Domestic and international driving possible
  • Motorbikes with engine capacity limited to max. 125 cc and power limitation to 11 kW (15 hp) and ratio of power to weight max. 0.1 kW/kg

    -> Class A1



Requirements Class B with key number 196

  • Direct entry from the age of 25 with previous possession of class B for at least 5 years
  • Driving only possible in Germany
  • Motorcycles with engine size limited to max. 125 cc, power limitation to 11 kW (15 hp) and power to weight ratio max. 0.1 kW/kg

Requirements Class AM

  • Minimum age 15 years
  • Domestic and international driving possible
  • Light two-wheeled motor vehicles with a maximum speed determined by the type of construction of no more than 45 km/h, a rated continuous output/utilised power of no more than 4 kW and an internal combustion engine with a cylinder capacity of no more than 50 cm³ or another form of propulsion

     -> Class B with key number 78 or Class B with key number 197 or Class AM

 


Which trailers do you want to pull after your training?


Combinations of a class B towing vehicle (motor vehicle max. 3,500 kg permissible total mass) and a trailer with a permissible total mass of no more than 750 kg or a heavy trailer, provided the permissible total mass of the combination does not exceed 3,500 kg.



Combinations of a Class B towing vehicle (motor vehicle max. 3,500 kg permissible total mass) and a trailer, provided the permissible total mass of the trailer does not exceed 3,500 kg.

  • Driving possible at home and abroad
  • Minimum age 18 years

    -> Class BE



Combinations of a class B towing vehicle and a trailer with a permissible total mass of more than 750 kg, provided the permissible total mass of the vehicle combination does not exceed 4,250 kg.
