Class B with key number 78

With a class B driving licence with key number 78 (B78), you may only drive vehicles with automatic transmission.
After obtaining the class B driving licence with key number 78, you can complete the driver training course for key number 197.
After this driver training course, you will also be authorised to drive cars with a manual transmission.

Your training will take place on a car with automatic transmission.

After successfully passing the exam, you will only be allowed to drive cars with automatic transmission.

If you would like to drive cars with manual transmission afterwards, you must complete the short driver training course for key number 197.

For larger trailers, we also recommend driver training class B with key number 96 without a exam or class BE.

In the training lessons, you will practise basic driving tasks (parking, emergency braking, reversing) and driving within the city.
